Happy Halloween - Take 1, 2 and 3!

Did you notice from the photos that Gracie and Kai had a few different Halloween outfits....a onsie, a long sleeve and a costume. They wore all three as layers! Kai wasn't liking his costume too much but, he looked cute! Gracie's outfit was a bit small (it was her 3 month old friend's) but, she looked cute!

Carrots for Halloween

Gracie and Kai tried carrots for the first time this morning. Can't tell by the photos but, Kai seemed to like it somewhat and I think it's fair to say Gracie hated it, as she was gagging up carrots. Check out the videos though.

Jump, Jump!

Gracie wasn't very interested in jumping at first. We aren't sure if it is because she was more interested in the toys on the tray or if it's because her feet barely touched the floor. Now, she's definitely getting longer and getting the hang of it - she is even starting to love it as much as her brother! Kai took to jumping right away! He'll fall asleep in the jumpy and sometimes cries when you take him out.

Bath Time!

Kai loves to sink low in the tub. If you sit him up, he just inches lower and lower so his whole body is in there. Gracie loves to relax her entire head back in the water with her eyes closed. Her routine is to hold her head back, turn it to the right. With her ear under water and her eyes closed, she stay there for a minute then, moves to the other side. Finally, she lands in the middle with her whole head under water excpet for her face. Also, she has gone all the way under and really liked it! I haven't been able to get this on video b/c it's hard to record and help her - I'll try though. For now, we have a couple of bath videos:

Gracie and Kai are close to holding their bottles. They just need to get the hang of tipping it up a bit! This is one thing that Kai did before and does more often than Gracie - anything for food!

The Pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch

The little pumpkins, Graysen and Kai, seemed entertained at the pumpkin patch. We strolled around looking for the perfect pumpkins for their first Halloween and then, stuck two great ones in our wheel barrel. It wasn't long that we mozied off, looking at some tomatoes and at the great scenery. We turned aorund and our barrel, with our pumpkins in it, were gone! In Michael's words, "we were pumpkin jacked!" We looked around and didn't have any luck finding the missing barrel and pumpkins. : ( Now, this doesn't sound like a big deal but, it is the weekend before Halloween and there are slim pickins' at the pumpkin patch. Luckily, we found a couple of others that we liked. On our way out, Gracie was interested in staring at the goats, cows and chickens so we stopped for a bit. Kai missed out - he was worn out from the pumpkin search (twice) and took a nap.

Grape Hats for a Day in Wine Country

Today we went up to Sonoma to meet Ben at the square. Graysen and Kai wanted to check out the real estate up there too because they may want to move there sometime. I think they approved - they were extremely happy and friendly to everyone that stopped to talk to them. We hung out on the square and Gracie and Kai rolled around for a bit. They were very much into pulling out the grass and eating it. Kai has taken to loud, high pitch screeches these days and Gracie just laughs and laughs. They definitely are very aware of each other, as they are constantly holding hands, laughing and smiling at one another and it is very clear that they want to be physically close. Graysen can make Kai smile like no other (Kai doesn't really like to smile too much). I'll be posting more photos on Kodak Gallery soon.

Bob'n Around

Ever since Kai and Graysen graduated from the Snap-n-Go to the Bob stroller, it's been a whole new world. During this first week with the Bob, we've been to Mt. Tam, the Headlands, Crown Road and today we went to China Camp. They love to be outside, taking hikes and exploring (like their Mom, and their Dad too). Today we walked for about 2 hours and took a snack break towards the end. They saw their first deer and were visibly excited about it.

Hanging out in Mill Valley

Graysen and Kai went to Mill Valley today to hang out with Ben since he's moving to Bend, Oregon soon. : ( They are very, VERY sad! It was all fun at Ben's, rolling around on the floor, laughing at Ben and watching him run around. Ben helped to feed them and roles were reversed - Kai didn't have much to eat, while Gracie had 8ozs (the most she has ever had in one sitting). After eating and hanging out for a bit, it was time for a walk in DMV (downtown Mill Valley). It was a perfect day - about 77 degrees and sunny. First, Kai napped while we walked then, just as Kai was waking up, Gracie fell asleep. After resting up, we ran into a man playing guitar and singing songs in DMV's square - they were mesmerized. We hung out there for practically a whole concert (about 6 songs) - they were kicking their feet, smiling and absolutely loved it! After that, it was time to go home for baths, food and sleep. It was a great day, not too much teething!
