Crawling!!

Just two days after sitting..... I heard a crash. There was water all over the floor - Gracie was swimming in it and trying to lick it up. She had crawled over to the dog bowls and knocked them over! She was perfectly happy as she was drenched in water - she definitely seemed to have had a sense of accomplishment. Kai started right then as well. He actually has better form and seems to be crawling much better - but for some reason, Gracie is actually a bit quicker (when she wants to be) - she is always quicker to get into something. She gets really frustrated when she can't move fast enough to get what she wants so, when she is determined, she'll move!

Sitting

I came home on Wednesday and Kai and Graysen were sitting up. They've sat up for seconds before but never forever!!! They'll stay up for a long time now!

Christmas Time

On 12/23, we met John, Stephanie, Jack and Ellie at Fisherman's Wharf. We walked around, had crab and chowder (not as good as East Coast New England but, it was good) and went to the vintage video game museum (it used to be at the Cliff House). Kai was in our new backpack carrier and loved the view - he's so content and comfortable. He likes to be removed from everyone. Gracie was hanging out in the Bjorn - she loves to be close to everyone's face. Gracie and Kai loved all of the stimulation - there were lots of people, Christmas trees and lights!

Christmas morning was relaxing. We opened presents and took the dogs to the beach. It was a gorgeous day - about 60 degrees, brisk but really sunny! In the afternoon, we went to the Campbells in Sebastapol and spent the rest of the night with them all. Gracie and Kai were on their best behavior. For New Years, we're off to the mountains!

Sunday Mornings!

Sunday mornings Kai and Gracie jump into bed with their Daddy. They'll hang out there for a while, reading the paper and watching football. No more reading though - newspaper isn't good to chew on so....TV it is!!! Of course most of the time, they're just interested in each other. They hug and kiss each other now - Well, Gracie gives Kai more hugs and kisses these days than the reverse. She also gives him more abuse - this morning she was kicking, scratching and squeezing him. It's just her signs of affection, too bad Kai doesn't understand (he screams!!). Sounds like their mom and dad!

We Love Licha!

Graysen ans Kai have so much fun with Licha. She teaches them new things all the time and teaches Michael and I new things as well! They love going out for walks with her. She takes great care of them!

Rise and Shine

Graysen woke up on one side of the bed and Kai woke up on the other.

Fighting Over Toys Already!!

Believe it or not, Graysen and Kai are akready wanting the same toy. If one is playing with a toy, the other wants it. Right now, this little red man, we call the "red pac man" is thir favorite. This video gives you just a taste - sometimes, the fights are a little more heated.

Naked Babies!!!

They love to play before and after their baths. They love it especially when their naked!!!! They get such a kick out of each other. They laugh and cry the hardest when they're together.

TN Valley

We had a great thanksgiving Day weekend. We took Daddy to TN valley in Mill Valley. We used to live right there and Michael had never been there before (because dogs aren't allowed). It was a gorgeous day and we had fun. But....we forgot the camera. So, Gracie, Kai and I went back yesterday. Again, it was such a gorgeous day. We had a great walk even though Gracie and Kai slept much of the way...... Since we're trying to get them on a very strict nap schedule, our hikes have turned into shorter walks around the neighborhood. When we do get out for hikes, they just have to take their afternoon naps on the go!

Swinging!!!

Kai and Gracie love to go on the swing! Licha, their babysitter, showed them how. Now, they love to go to the park, swing and watch all the kids play. We did it again today!

More Highchair Shots

In the Highchairs!

About a week ago, it was time for Gracie and Kai to get up into their highchairs! The Bumbos just weren't cutting it anymore for feeding time. Grace and Kai are onto fruit now - along with rice or wheat cereal daily, they've had carrots, sweet potatoes, yams, peas and today apples! Gracie definitely loved the apples but, surprisingly, Kai didn't like them as much as the veggies. He really liked peas! I think Graysen was thrilled not to have veggies today. They are eating more and more every day and subsequently, sleeping more! Here are some before and after eating in the highchair shots.

On the Couch

Kai and Graysen like to just simply hang out on the couch. They hang out together, with their daddy or just by themselves, drinking a bottle. They especially like it if the BABY channel is on! : )
